Description For Controls Engineer - AWS, AWS Control, Deployment and Service Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineer in the Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team, you'll be responsible for delivering and supporting data center building automation systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).

Your role will involve overseeing the deployment of new BMS or EPMS systems during data center builds, delivering upgrade projects for existing Amazon-owned or leased facilities, and providing local servicing expertise. You'll work closely with Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deploying data center controls with effective vendor management
  • Delivering critical upgrade projects for data center automation
  • Providing service and support for Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), and other critical events
  • Managing tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements
  • Implementing efficiency improvements for data centers

  • Understanding of PID loop tuning and feedback theory
  • Knowledge of industry standard programming: Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart

  • Experience in inspection, testing and commissioning
  • Project management skills
  • Understanding of engineering documentation and standard operating procedures
