Description For Data Center Facility Engineer, DCC Communities

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer, you'll be part of the team that keeps the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain highest safety standards and foster strong safety culture
  • Support and maintain critical infrastructure including UPS, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, ATS, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC systems
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Work rotational shifts (4 days of 12-hour shifts, including nights)
  • Supervise contractors performing maintenance

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or related field, strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical competencies.

Requirements For Data Center Facility Engineer, DCC Communities

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, Instrumentation and Control, or similar technical focus
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC systems, Controls)
  • Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory
  • Ability to work rotational shifts including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and noisy environments
  • Ability to work at heights and from ladders
