Description For Software Development Engineer, AWS Route 53 Resolver, Cloud Security Service Development

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a mid-level Software Development Engineer to join the Route 53 Resolver team, focusing on building zero trust network access capabilities for AWS customers. This role is part of the team that owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

The position offers an opportunity to work on cloud-native security platforms protecting enterprise customers from cyberattacks and data loss. You'll be part of Amazon Route 53, a highly available and scalable DNS service operating in over 50 locations worldwide, providing advanced functionality such as Private DNS, DNS Firewall, DNS resolver, and integration with various AWS services.

As an SDE, you'll be responsible for designing and developing zero trust systems, collaborating with engineers to shape strategy, and helping mentor junior team members. The role involves working on deep technical problems spanning databases, networking, distributed systems, numerical analysis, and security.

AWS values diverse experiences and fosters an inclusive culture through employee-led affinity groups and ongoing learning opportunities. The company offers work-life harmony and supports career growth through mentorship and knowledge-sharing resources. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, working in a fast-paced environment where innovation and customer feedback drive rapid iteration and improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in large-scale networking software, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll be part of a team that "works backwards" from customer needs, rapidly iterating services to deliver features that make a real impact.

This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge cloud security services, help customers establish zero trust environments, and be part of a team that's expanding in multiple directions with new features, traffic management capabilities, and security services.
