Full Stack Software Engineer, Studio

Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem. Founded in 2018, Clear Street is a diversified financial services firm replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets. We started from scratch by building a completely cloud-native clearing and custody system designed for today's complex, global market.

As an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer, you will help build our flagship Clear Street Studio, a modern prime brokerage experience. You will tackle non-trivial problems that force you to balance trade-offs while implementing clean and efficient solutions. You will raise our bar on providing clean and efficient solutions that delight and offer the best experience for our customers. You will push our operational standards and ensure that we are able to offer and maintain a high SLA.

This role is deeply involved with engineering the next generation of our state-of-the-art Studio (portal) for our varied client base including hedge funds, traders, and portfolio managers. You will work with a team of talented, passionate, and highly collaborative engineers. Working together, we have built a platform that serves institutional clients and is at the forefront of technological innovation.

Requirements:

• At least six (6) years of professional experience implementing scalable web solutions
• BS in Computer Science or related field
• At least five (5) years of professional experience and a strong understanding of front-end technologies such as React and TypeScript as well as back-end technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Event-based patterns
• Ability to recognize and find solutions to performance issues
