Founding AI Engineer

As a Founding AI Engineer, you'll join a cutting-edge startup that's already making waves with hundreds of companies including AngelList and AptDeco using their platform.

The role offers an extraordinary opportunity to shape the future of software engineering by working on sophisticated AI systems that include automatic PR reviews, interactive dialogue capabilities, agentic codebase search, and asynchronous code generation. You'll be working with state-of-the-art technologies including OpenAI, Claude, and a custom agents/evals framework, while building on a modern tech stack with Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, and Next.js.

As the first hire, you'll work directly with founders Hunter and Nick in their Union Square, NYC office, wearing multiple hats and having significant product ownership. The position offers both technical challenges and the opportunity to define the future of software engineering, where LLMs are becoming increasingly capable of async code generation for complex features.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about AI development, have experience with LLM agents, and be willing to work long hours solving challenging problems. The role comes with competitive compensation ($100K-$200K) plus equity (0.50%-5.00%), reflecting the founding nature of the position.
