The team is focused on products that offer network connectivity to customers and drive a preference for GCP infrastructure. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to influence strategy and roadmap and deliver products from conception to launch.

As a Group Product Manager for Cloud Networking, you will define the product idea, strategy, and roadmap for the Cloud Data Transfer portfolio. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to align product plans with business goals, drive the product development process, and work closely with Engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications. You'll also be responsible for defining and tracking key product metrics, analyzing product performance, and conducting market research to make informed product decisions.

This role requires a strong background in product management, technical expertise in networking and software architecture, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. You'll be at the forefront of Google Cloud's efforts to deliver innovative network connectivity solutions and drive the preference for GCP infrastructure among customers.

Responsibilities For Group Product Manager, Cloud Networking

  • Define the product idea, strategy, and roadmap for Cloud Data Transfer portfolio
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align product plans with business goals
  • Drive the product development process, including ideation, requirements gathering, prioritization, and execution
  • Work with Engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications
  • Define and track key product metrics and success criteria
  • Analyze product performance, customer usage patterns, and market trends for product improvements
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs and pain points
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews
  • Define pricing, positioning, and messaging strategies
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to understand customer requirements
  • Work with Marketing teams to drive product messaging and positioning

Requirements For Group Product Manager, Cloud Networking

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Experience with Networking, Network Architecture, Networking Protocols, Software Architecture
  • Knowledge of building accessibility best practices
  • Experience incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies
