Description For Lead Group Product Manager, Search

Google Search is seeking a Lead Group Product Manager to drive their Search product strategy in Japan. This role combines technical product management with deep market understanding to adapt Google Search for Japanese users.   • Lead product development by overseeing a team of Product Managers(PMs) to deliver in a new and ambiguous product space
  • Collaborate across functions by working with engineering, communications, and other teams
  • Build a high-performing team by inspiring and developing a group of product managers
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and decision-making skills within a geographically distributed team

Requirements For Lead Group Product Manager, Search

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • 5 years of experience in people management with technical leadership
  • 5 years of experience in consumer-facing product management
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently
  • Knowledge of Japanese culture, consumer behavior, and language
  • Excellent business and technical communication skills
