Data Engineer III

HackerOne is seeking a Data Engineer III, DataOne, to lead the discovery, architecture, and development of high-performance, scalable data products and solutions. Joining HackerOne's growing, distributed organization, you'll be instrumental in building the foundation that powers our lakehouse architecture and scales our cutting-edge AI.

As a Data Engineer III, you'll have the autonomy to contribute to challenging projects and lean into collaboration across the company. Leveraging your extensive technological expertise, domain knowledge, and dedication to business objectives, you'll drive innovation to propel HackerOne forward.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering impact by consistently contributing high-quality, high-impact code
• Leading and delivering cross-functional product and technical initiatives
• Contributing to highly complex design processes
• Balancing competing priorities and adapting to shifting business objectives
• Supporting continuous evolution and innovation within the DataOne codebase and engineering processes
• Championing a higher bar for discoverability, usability, reliability, timeliness, consistency, validity, uniqueness, simplicity, completeness, integrity, security, and compliance of information and insights across the company
• Offering subject matter expertise while helping to build a culture of continuous learning and growth

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4+ years experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role with a proven track record of developing data frameworks (preferably using Python)
• 4+ years of building and optimizing data pipelines, products, and solutions
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong proficiency in working with various data technologies and tools such as Airflow, Snowflake, Meltano, Fivetran, DBT, AWS, and Looker
• Strong programming skills, knowledge of algorithms, and data structures
