Sr Software Engineer IV (Assessments)

HackerOne's mission is to empower the world to build a safer internet. As a Sr Software Engineer IV (Assessments), you will join the team working on the HackerOne Pentest product, which allows companies to leverage the vast pentesting experience of our hacker community. HackerOne was recently named as a leader in GigaOm's 'Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS) Radar' report.

In this role, you will work with Product Managers, Designers, and Principal Engineers to be the technical lead for a variety of challenging projects. You'll interact with one of the most vibrant communities of security researchers and hackers in the world, using this experience to build delightful features and products for them, as well as the thousands of companies who trust HackerOne with their cybersecurity.

Your journey at HackerOne will begin with a well-organized onboarding process called H.A.T.C.H. By day 90, you'll have impressed your colleagues with your technical contributions and earned trust within your squad and the entire Engineering team. Long-term, you'll lead important projects, innovate during Hack Weeks, and contribute to the success of the company.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading technical projects through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Building and maintaining highly-available, performant features
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful objectives
• Mentoring and being mentored by other engineers

Required skills:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
• Proficiency in languages like JavaScript, PHP, Python, or Ruby
• Strong SQL skills, preferably with PostgreSQL
• Experience with React JS or similar libraries
