Salesforce, the world's leading CRM platform, is seeking a Relationship Manager for their Global Private Equity & VC Practice. This role is pivotal in transforming how private equity firms create value for investors and portfolio companies while accelerating Salesforce's growth in this sector. The position combines strategic relationship management with analytical expertise to drive growth and reduce risk.

The role involves working closely with senior Private Equity executives and their Portfolio Company Executives, helping them leverage Salesforce's platform to achieve strategic objectives and enhance customer experiences across sales, service, marketing, and commerce. You'll be responsible for developing unique perspectives on value creation opportunities, conducting thorough analysis, and contributing to customer-facing engagements.

As a Manager, you'll support the senior team in identifying new opportunities and influencing sales cycles through value-based selling, considering each portfolio company's specific transformation needs. You'll collaborate with product specialists, solution engineers, account teams, and industry experts to effectively serve private equity-owned companies.

The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and strong relationship management skills. You'll be involved in due diligence processes, growth strategy development for carve-outs and new acquisitions, and post-announcement business model optimization. The role also includes coaching responsibilities for junior team members and contributing to the practice's strategic growth initiatives.

Working in a hybrid environment (minimum three days per week in office), you'll need to be comfortable with travel (>30% of time) and have experience in private equity, venture capital, consulting, or related fields. Responsibilities For Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

  • Support senior team in maintaining relationships with strategic Private Equity Partners
  • Act as an advocate for the partnership within Private Equity firm and Salesforce
  • Understand Salesforce product suite and conceptualize optimal solutions
  • Contribute to Private Equity due diligence processes
  • Work with portfolio companies on business and operating model opportunities
  • Collaborate with alliances and sales teams
  • Support go-to-market plan execution for each Private Equity partner

Requirements For Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

  • 5-7 years experience in private equity/credit, venture capital, consulting, investment banking, M&A, strategy, enterprise software, or digital transformation
  • Experience working internationally with international clients and teams
  • Experience working at C-level
  • Exceptional communication, strategic, analytical, influencing, and consulting skills
  • High tolerance for ambiguity
  • Strong work ethic and personal drive
  • Superior ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • Willingness to travel >30% of the time
