Description For Product Design Engineer (Starlink Ground Antennas)

SpaceX is revolutionizing space technology with the ambitious goal of enabling human life on Mars. As a Product Design Engineer for Starlink Ground Antennas, you'll join the team behind the world's largest satellite constellation, currently serving over 4M+ users worldwide with high-speed internet.

The role focuses on developing critical ground station infrastructure for the Starlink network. You'll be responsible for designing high-precision, low-cost, weather-resistant ground antennas that form the backbone of the Starlink internet system. This position combines mechanical engineering expertise with cutting-edge RF and vacuum electronics, requiring both technical depth and broad system-level understanding.

Working at SpaceX means being part of a high-performing team that values rapid iteration and extreme ownership. You'll be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to mass production and deployment. The position offers competitive compensation ($95,000-$130,000 based on level) and comprehensive benefits including equity, medical coverage, and 401(k).

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer with hardware experience who wants to make a direct impact on global internet connectivity. You'll need to be comfortable with fast-paced development, able to make decisions with incomplete information, and ready to tackle complex technical challenges. The role requires ITAR compliance, meaning candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or qualify under specific immigration statuses.

Join SpaceX to help build the world's largest network of ground stations and be part of a team that's making science fiction a reality. Your work will directly contribute to expanding internet access globally while advancing the technologies needed for humanity's multi-planetary future.
