Description For Staff Systems Integration Engineer

SPAN is seeking a Staff Systems Integration Engineer to join their Systems Integration & Test Team. This role is crucial in verifying and validating the entire system and managing key testing infrastructure for the organization. As SPAN expands its product offerings and third-party integrations, you'll play a critical role in managing the complexity of design, implementation, and testing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working cross-functionally with product, firmware, and software teams to design integration plans
  • Taking point on lab testing to verify systems, attempt to break things, and characterize integrated systems
  • Reproducing and root-causing issues, collaborating with other teams to develop and test fixes

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field like electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with line voltage or high voltage DC
  • Solid understanding of electromagnetism, power electronics, and electrical engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with CLI tools and Linux
  • Familiarity with various communication protocols
  • Extensive experience using oscilloscopes and other electrical instrumentation
  • Hands-on electrical skills
