Responsibilities For R&D Engineer
- Build and test optical, electrical, or vacuum systems
- Systems integration of electronics controller with sensors
- Set-up test equipment; automate data collection
Requirements For R&D Engineer
- Engineering/related degree and 3+ years relevant work experience
- Must be U.S. persons (citizens, permanent residents, or eligible refugees/asylees)
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and collaborators
- Experience with lasers and optics, electronics, and/or vacuum systems in R&D environment
- Experience with electronic test instrumentation
- System integration, bring-up, and debugging skills
- Basic PCB board bring-up experience
- Electromechanical design experience
- Computer-aided design skills
- Basic machining skills
