As a Team Lead – Data Engineering, you'll lead a team designing and managing scalable data infrastructure processing petabytes of data. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, focusing on redesigning data warehouses and processing pipelines using modern cloud tools. You'll work with AWS services, implement ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensure data security compliance. Responsibilities For Data Engineer - Team Lead
- Lead and mentor data engineers, manage project timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery of data solutions
- Define and develop technical specifications, system designs, and scalable architectures for large-scale data infrastructure
- Redesign and manage scalable data warehouses and processing systems using AWS services
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to process large, diverse datasets
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust data solutions
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data systems
- Implement and maintain data security, privacy standards, and compliance with regulations
Requirements For Data Engineer - Team Lead
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, building, and managing large-scale data infrastructure
- Proven experience leading and mentoring data engineering team
- Advanced proficiency in Java and Python for ETL development
- Extensive experience with OLAP databases and designing data models
- Strong understanding of OLTP systems, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server
- Expertise with real-time data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka and AWS Kinesis
- In-depth knowledge of AWS tools (Athena, Glue, S3)
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience
