2K Games, a leading global video game publisher headquartered in Novato, California, is seeking a Senior Platform Systems Engineer to join their Platforms team. This role is crucial in managing the operations, engineering, and architecture of all on-premise data centers, including networking, virtualization, and storage.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of world-class games across multiple platforms. As a Platform Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining multi-datacenter infrastructure and services, working alongside network engineers, systems architects, and development staff to support both gamers and business needs.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in cloud environments, infrastructure automation, and system architecture. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies and be responsible for DDOS protection, CDNs, and GTM spanning multiple datacenters both terrestrial and cloud-based.

Responsibilities For Platform Systems Engineer

  • Build and operate highly resilient systems in a multi-datacenter and cloud global environment
  • Develop tools for management and automation of systems and service infrastructure
  • Define and implement standards for systems, services, and cloud environments
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Participate in Platforms on-call rotation

Requirements For Platform Systems Engineer

Linux
Kubernetes
  • 6+ years of demonstrated influence across teams for large scale projects
  • 6+ years of experience in Platforms or System engineer role for online services
  • 4+ years of developing tools for automation
  • 2+ years of AWS and/or GCP cloud experience
  • 6+ years system engineering and architecture experience
  • 3+ years of experience using Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Extensive knowledge of storage service, virtualization, Windows server OS and Linux
  • Experience with system analysis and troubleshooting
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
