Senior Renewable Energy Engineer

3E is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer to join their South Africa team. This role involves overseeing consultancy projects, including technical due diligence and owner's engineer responsibilities for solar and wind projects. Key responsibilities include:

1. Technical Due Diligence:

   • Lead and manage technical due diligence assignments
   • Assess and mitigate technical risks
   • Coordinate with legal, insurance, and financial advisors
   • Review and negotiate key contracts

2. Owner's Engineer Services:

   • Oversee project feasibility studies
   • Monitor construction progress
   • Manage EPC and O&M tender preparations
   • Conduct on-site project acceptance testing and commissioning
   • Oversee project operations

3. Additional Tasks:

   • Conduct technical reviews of project permits, designs, and resource assessments
   • Lead and document technical inspections
   • Propose risk mitigation strategies

The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in engineering, minimum 5 years experience in renewable energy, in-depth experience as both a Lender's and Owner's Technical Advisor, and strong project management skills.
