Description For Lead Audio DSP Engineer

42dot is seeking a Lead Audio DSP Engineer to head the development of in-vehicle audio signal processing and pre-processing technologies. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, focusing on creating optimized voice recognition and sound quality solutions for various vehicle environments. The position involves leading a team while developing core audio processing algorithms, including Automatic Gain Control (AGC), Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), and Noise Reduction (NR).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic direction-setting and team leadership in developing customized audio solutions for OEM vehicles. This role requires expertise in signal processing, particularly in automotive applications, with a strong foundation in both theoretical understanding and practical implementation of audio processing algorithms.

Responsibilities For Lead Audio DSP Engineer

  • Design and optimize core audio signal processing algorithms including AGC, AEC, NR
  • Develop signal processing solutions tailored to vehicle conditions
  • Develop voice recognition and signal separation technology for different seat positions
  • Develop scalable algorithms for various seating arrangements and environments
  • Support tuning and optimization of pre-processing technology for OEM vehicles
  • Manage project schedules and resolve technical requirements
  • Conduct signal quality testing, debugging, and system stabilization
  • Lead internalization of technology to reduce dependency on outsourced solutions
  • Maintain and enhance technology after mass production

Requirements For Lead Audio DSP Engineer

Python
  • Experience in audio signal processing and pre-processing algorithm design (AGC, AEC, NR)
  • Experience or understanding of voice recognition and signal separation
  • Proficiency in signal processing and algorithm implementation languages (MATLAB, Python, C/C++)
  • DSP development experience and debugging skills
  • Experience in schedule management and requirements analysis in mass production projects
  • Team collaboration and communication skills with external partners
  • Experience in automotive audio system development (or similar domain)
  • Experience in acoustic technology research or application in multi-microphone environments
