Description For Security Engineer III – AppSec

6sense is seeking a Security Engineer III – AppSec to join their team. As a member of 6sense's Security department, you'll be part of the Security Engineering team that protects the platform and ensures product security. In this role, you'll partner with infrastructure, platform, and engineering teams to identify and mitigate cloud security risks.

Key Responsibilities: • Operate CNAPP tool for Infrastructure security vulnerability management • Conduct cloud security assessments and implement remediation strategies • Advise infrastructure teams on cloud security standards and hardening activities • Perform vulnerability assessments of golden AMIs • Ensure adoption and adherence to security logging standards • Provide logging and monitoring support to Security Operations • Leverage scripting skills for task automation, tool integration, and workflow building • Support risk assessment, compliance, and other security department initiatives • Design and execute quarterly (O)KRs

Requirements: • 3-5 years of experience in information security, focusing on cloud security, infrastructure security, security engineering, or SRE • Familiarity with AWS security controls, monitoring, and orchestration • Working knowledge of network security, WAF, DDoS mitigation, authentication, encryption, and vulnerability management • Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, IaC, and serverless technologies • In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (preferably AWS) • Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and security tasks • Familiarity with security tools like vulnerability scanners, IDS, and SIEM solutions • Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps practices

Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a related field • Relevant industry certifications (AWS, CNCF, GIAC) • AWS Certified Solutions Architect • AWS Certified Security - Specialty • Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Security Engineer • CCSP – Certified Cloud Security Professional
