Responsibilities For Mid-Level Structural / Bridge Engineer

  • Prepares/performs and checks structural analysis, design plans, specifications, and estimates for bridge projects
  • Provides experience in project planning including general oversight, design, implementation
  • Maintains knowledge of state DOT and local agency design standards
  • Performs structural analysis/design and leads/mentors team members
  • Analyzes deteriorated components, assesses remaining capacities
  • Develops/prepares construction documents
  • Performs structural inspections/field investigations
  • Performs QA/QC review of documents
  • Participates in business development and project pursuits
  • Reviews and processes contractor's RFI and shop drawing submittals

Requirements For Mid-Level Structural / Bridge Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 5+ years of experience in bridge design and analysis
  • Experience in planning, inspection, design, load ratings, and construction support services
  • Knowledge of state DOT, local municipal, and county design standards
  • Proficiency in software: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, LARSA 4D, LPile, MDX, Descus, AASHTOWare BrR
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel as required
