This role requires 3+ years of experience in transportation engineering, focusing on roadway design, infrastructure planning, and technical analysis. The position offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days in office.

The ideal candidate will work on diverse transportation projects, handling everything from data collection to complex design tasks including horizontal/vertical alignments, cross-section design, and ADA compliance. They'll contribute to various aspects of infrastructure development, from stormwater management to traffic planning.

  • Collection of data and existing condition analysis
  • Development of horizontal and vertical alignments
  • Performing cross section and superelevation design
  • Roadside barrier design
  • ADA curb ramp design
  • Roadway modeling
  • Design support for erosion and sediment control plans
  • Stormwater management plans
  • Right-of-way plans

Requirements For Mid-Level Transportation Engineer

  • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • Engineering-in-Training required, or minimum 3+ years' experience as highway designer
  • Knowledge of civil engineering design and construction surveying concepts
  • Experience with Microstation and InRoads required
  • Experience with State and Federal transportation design standards
  • Experience with MS Office products including Word and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure preferred
