Description For 2D Engineer

A2MAC1 is seeking a 2D Engineer to join their team in Colón, Querétaro, Mexico. This full-time, on-site role is part of the Operations > Additional Production Services department.

The 2D Engineer will be responsible for developing section blueprints of specific interior automotive areas using 3D files, hand tools, and vectorial software. They will also be involved in manufacturing data collection for bill of materials constitution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Following work instructions and procedures as a baseline for all activities
  • Adhering to internal policies and standardization
  • Identifying design and manufacturing highlights throughout the IMS process
  • Collecting points of interest related to vehicle performance during pre-studies
  • Taking clean photographs of study areas, parts, and gaps inside vehicles
  • Gathering manufacturing and structure information for specific interior parts
  • Recognizing specific elements that constitute a part
  • Managing vectorial drawing with CorelDRAW software
  • Measuring and representing details at 1:1 scale
  • Translating information into various graphic formats (JPEG, DXF, IGES, PDF)

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Automotive Engineering, or Mechatronics. They should possess knowledge of materials, production, and assembly lines, as well as basic understanding of manufacturing processes and blueprint development.

Required skills include proficiency in vectorial design (preferably CorelDRAW), advanced English language skills, and experience with workshop tools.
