Description For 3D Engineer

A2MAC1 is seeking a 3D Engineer to join their team in Colón, Querétaro, Mexico. This full-time, on-site role is part of the A2MAC1 Latam SRV, Operations > 3D Autoreverse department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D scanning, modeling, and data processing, with experience in the automotive industry.

As a 3D Engineer, you will be responsible for various tasks related to 3D scanning, processing, and modeling of automotive parts and vehicles. Your duties will include operating scanners, post-processing scan data, modeling specific parts, and working with specialized software to clean, repair, and manipulate 3D data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scanning parts, vehicles, and systems using various technologies
  • Post-processing scan files and cleaning scanned data
  • Cutting, aligning, and morphing 3D files of parts
  • Modeling wiring harnesses, hoses, and specific parts
  • Performing photogrammetry of vehicles and parts
  • Cleaning and repairing scanned data using specialized software
  • Modeling mechanical connections between systems or parts
  • Delivering processed data on the company platform

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Automotive Engineering, or Mechatronics. Strong skills in 3D tools and design software are essential, as is advanced English proficiency. Knowledge of materials, production processes, and assembly lines is required, and experience in the automotive industry is preferred.

Responsibilities For 3D Engineer

  • Carry out the scan of parts with a scanner
  • Carry out the post processing of the files with the scanning software
  • Cut, align and morph 3D files of parts
  • Model wiring harnesses, hoses and specific parts
  • Carry out the scan of reference scans during the teardown of the vehicle during the AutoReverse process
  • Carry out the photogrammetry of vehicles, systems or parts with a Tritop
  • Carry out the scan of vehicles, systems or parts with a scanner
  • Clean vehicles, systems and scanned parts
  • Clean, repair, separate, align, and morph data of complete vehicles, systems and parts previously scanned using software
  • Model mechanical connections between different systems or parts
  • Carry out the delivery of data on the platform

Requirements For 3D Engineer

  • Degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Automotive Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • Knowledge in materials, production, and assembly lines
  • Basic knowledge in manufacturing processes
  • Experience in IT Tools, 3D Tools and 3D Design Software
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Experience in Automotive industry (preferable)
