Description For Building Engineer

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is seeking a Building Engineer to support their facility operations. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering experience and be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of facility systems.

Responsibilities For Building Engineer

  • Maintains and performs repairs to buildings, utilities, grounds and equipment
  • Optimize repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems
  • Maintains continuous operations of equipment by troubleshooting and repairing
  • Provide hands-on training and collaboration to other engineering team members
  • Records all pertinent data in building logbooks
  • Conducts utility and equipment tests
  • Process administrative paperwork
  • Participates in regular communication with Chief Engineer, management, and staff

Requirements For Building Engineer

Linux
  • 5+ years experience as an engineer
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC
  • Universal level refrigerant recovery license
  • Computer skills and building automation systems experience
  • OSHA ACM awareness training certification as required
  • Working knowledge of energy conservation
