AI/ML Front End Engineer (Staff/Senior)

Abridge, founded in 2018, is revolutionizing healthcare with its AI-powered platform that transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time. We're seeking Staff and Senior Full Stack Engineers to join our growing team. You'll build internal UI products supporting LLM Model orchestration, evaluation, and dataset curation, working closely with our Applied AI and product teams to create innovative ML-powered solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and building scalable cloud-based services using TypeScript, Python, and React
• Creating tooling for ML model lifecycle support
• Building LLM model orchestration infrastructure with intuitive UX
• Making architecture decisions balancing innovation, security, and reliability
• Enhancing platform performance and scalability
• Cross-functional collaboration with product, ML, and design teams
• Researching and implementing effective, scalable solutions
• Advocating for best coding practices and mentoring junior engineers
• Maintaining a user-centric mindset in solution implementation
• Contributing to ML infrastructure development

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in building and scaling distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, APIs, and prompt engineering
• Proficiency in cloud services, infrastructure as code, and containerization
• Experience leading engineering teams or owning major software components
• Background in optimizing LLM inference systems (desirable)
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST) is a plus
