Description For AI/ML Full Stack Engineer (Staff/Senior)

Abridge, founded in 2018, is on a mission to power deeper understanding in healthcare. Our AI-powered platform transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time, with deep EMR integrations. We're seeking Staff and Senior Full Stack Engineers to join our growing team to build internal UI products supporting LLM Model orchestration, evaluation, and dataset curation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based services using TypeScript, Python, and React
  • Create tooling for ML model lifecycle support
  • Build scalable infrastructure for LLM model orchestration
  • Make architecture and technology decisions aligning with business needs
  • Enhance platform performance and scalability
  • Work cross-functionally with product, machine learning, and design teams
  • Research and evaluate commercial and open-source tools
  • Advocate for best coding practices and mentor junior engineers
  • Build deep empathy for users
  • Contribute to ML infrastructure development

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems
  • Experience with TypeScript, Python, React, and Node.js
  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and APIs
  • Proficiency in cloud services, infrastructure as code, and containerization
  • Experience leading engineering teams or owning major software components
  • Background in optimizing and scaling inference systems for LLMs (desirable)
  • Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST) is a plus
