Description For AI/ML Full Stack Engineer (Staff/Senior)

Abridge, founded in 2018, is seeking Staff and Senior Full Stack Engineers to join their growing team. The role involves building internal UI products to support LLM Model orchestration, evaluation, and dataset curation. You'll work closely with Applied AI and product teams to build innovative ML-powered solutions for Healthcare AI technology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and maintaining scalable cloud-based services using TypeScript, Python, and React
  • Creating tooling for ML model lifecycle support
  • Building scalable infrastructure for LLM model orchestration
  • Making architecture and technology decisions
  • Enhancing platform performance and scalability
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product, machine learning, and design teams
  • Researching and evaluating tools for effective solutions
  • Advocating for best coding practices and mentoring junior engineers
  • Maintaining a user-centric mindset
  • Contributing to ML infrastructure development

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in building and scaling distributed systems
  • Experience with LLMs, APIs, and cloud services
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, React, Node.js, and cloud technologies
  • Leadership experience in engineering teams
  • Background in optimizing AI-based systems (desirable)
  • Experience in regulated environments (plus)

The role offers a competitive salary range of $185,000 - $265,000+ USD per year, plus equity. It requires a hybrid work model with at least 3 days per week in the San Francisco office and up to 10% travel for team retreats.
