Database Engineer

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Database Engineer to join their team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases for federal government clients.

As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Implementing disaster recovery strategies
• Performing performance analysis and tuning
• Conducting index maintenance and data monitoring
• Administering and maintaining policies for database security and integrity
• Evaluating and recommending database management system (DBMS) products
• Performing database and software life-cycle activities
• Administering Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE Database and Application servers
• Organizing and formatting data for efficient query and storage processes

The ideal candidate will have:

• 10 years of experience as a database engineer in programs of similar scope and complexity
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or 14 years of equivalent experience)
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
