As a Security Engineer at Acquia, you'll be part of a global company with employees in over 30 countries, building for the future. Your role will involve finding security flaws in custom application code, thinking like an attacker to misuse and break cloud services, and working on compliance processes. You'll be enhancing the security of large sites and brands powered by Acquia's PaaS platform and SaaS services built on AWS EC2 instances.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a Security Champion in an agile Security Engineering team
  • Research, specify, and test cloud hosting architectures
  • Debug complex distributed systems production issues

Required Skills:

  • 2-6 years of related experience
  • Cloud security and compliance experience using AWS
  • Strong software development background
  • Understanding of Kubernetes
  • Deep knowledge of LAMP stack
  • Experience with Linux packages
  • Networking expertise
  • Holistic understanding of Internet and hosting
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software development using Python or Go
  • Experience with threat modeling
  • Configuration management skills
  • Containerization experience
  • Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes deployments
