Acronis, a global cyber protection leader, is seeking a Sales Engineer for their New Zealand operations. This role is crucial in bridging technical expertise with sales success in the ANZ region.

As a Sales Engineer, you'll be the technical backbone of the sales team, conducting pre and post-sales activities to drive Service Provider acquisition and growth. Your role involves delivering compelling presentations, managing proof of concept activities, and providing technical guidance to customers and partners.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of PreSales/Sales Engineer experience, with deep knowledge in IT security, cloud technologies, and business continuity solutions. You should be well-versed in virtualization platforms, database systems, and major cloud services like Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities For Sales Engineer, NZ

  • Deliver presentations on Acronis technology and solutions
  • Manage customer evaluations and proof of concept activities
  • Position solutions to solve customer business problems
  • Produce technical responses to RFIs and RFPs
  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations
  • Support channel and cloud partners on technical queries
  • Develop customer solution proposals
  • Provide market input to Product Management and Engineering teams
  • Maintain knowledge of industry developments

Requirements For Sales Engineer, NZ

Linux
  • 3+ years experience as PreSales/Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role
  • Good understanding of IT security technologies and software
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with SaaS and IaaS technologies (Microsoft O365, Azure, Google Gsuite, AWS)
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Database knowledge (SQL, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities
  • Project management skills
