Responsibilities For Chief Building Engineer
- Directly supervise the onsite engineering and maintenance team
- Manage and maintain all building systems (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety)
- Supervise and schedule vendors
- Conduct regular inspections of common areas
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Assist in creating RFPs and overseeing capital improvement projects
- Ensure safety compliance and coordinate equipment inspections
- Respond to emergencies and homeowner inquiries
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies
- Participate in budget planning and monitor maintenance expenditures
Requirements For Chief Building Engineer
- Minimum of 7 years of Building Engineering experience
- 3 years of experience directly supervising an onsite maintenance and engineering team
- Proficient in mechanical diagnostics, repair, and building control systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications
- High school diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred)
- HVAC Certification
- EPA/608 License
- Available for 24/7 emergency response
- Strong organizational, communication, and vendor management skills
