Shopify Engineer

We are seeking a talented Shopify Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading B2B distributor of commercial HVAC and industrial products. This is a full-time, remote position offering a salary of $3,000 USD per month.

As our Shopify Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in creating exceptional digital experiences within the Shopify ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of frontend or full-stack development experience, with at least one year specifically focused on Shopify development. You'll be responsible for theme development, ensuring brand consistency, implementing responsive designs, and optimizing site performance.

Key technical responsibilities include working with Liquid, CSS, and JavaScript for theme customization, managing Git workflows, implementing testing procedures, and maintaining deployment pipelines through GitHub Actions. You'll also contribute to broader IT infrastructure maintenance as part of our collaborative team approach.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication abilities and a passion for problem-solving. The role requires proficiency in Shopify's technical ecosystem, including themes, Liquid, APIs, and CLI tools, along with a solid foundation in web development technologies.

This position offers the flexibility of permanent remote work, with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. You'll be joining a high-performance team that values continuous learning and growth, working on projects that directly impact our customer experience and business success.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design, or a related field, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
