Sourcing and Packaging Engineer

Our client, a prominent player in the skincare sector, is seeking a Sourcing and Packaging Engineer. This role supports component development for a wide range of brands and is responsible for new product development, product maintenance, cost savings, and sustainability. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project launches and direct communication with Global Packaging Suppliers to verify quality, accuracy, and design across all product brands.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving innovative design and materials for primary and secondary components
• Maintaining project timelines, tasks, and costs
• Managing component specification development and document administration
• Defining specifications, defect ranges, and design criteria
• Compiling samples, quotes, and specifications for internal testing
• Leading sustainability efforts on packaging materials
• Liaising with production to optimize packaging
• Assisting in establishing quality standards for new components
• Developing new suppliers to enhance the sourcing network
• Handling administrative tasks and backing up team members

The ideal candidate should have:

• 1-2 years of experience in personal care or cosmetic packaging business
• Experience with global sourcing
• Knowledge of purchasing and costing
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
