Python Backend Engineer

Activeloop is seeking an experienced Python Backend Engineer to join their team in Mountain View. As a key member of the engineering department, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how organizations harness data for AI using Deep Lake and Multi-modal AI Search.

In this role, you'll architect and develop robust backend services and platforms that are secure, scalable, and maintainable. You'll design and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for peak performance, implement distributed systems to handle massive amounts of data, and ensure code excellence through rigorous testing and best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building scalable backend platforms and services
• Designing and optimizing APIs and microservices
• Implementing and operating distributed systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Optimizing system performance
• Deploying applications using modern tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Enhancing platform reliability through advanced monitoring and alerting solutions

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience in backend development
• Deep proficiency in Python and the Fast API framework
• Extensive experience with distributed systems at scale
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Expertise in RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
• A track record of owning product delivery from inception to support
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
