ActivTrak is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to play a crucial role in protecting their digital and physical assets. This position involves implementing and maintaining security measures across the organization's infrastructure while managing compliance programs including SOC2 and GDPR. The role combines technical security expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring strong communication skills to explain complex security concepts to various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in information security, cloud security (particularly GCP), and implementing security tools and controls. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer
- Execute comprehensive security program, including implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement security measures
- Deploy, maintain, and monitor security technologies, tools, and systems
- Support sales engineers with technical expertise on security requirements
- Assist in customer-facing sales calls for security concerns
- Develop security presentations and training materials
- Conduct daily monitoring, triage, and escalation of security alerts
- Validate and document Responsible Disclosure program submissions
- Monitor emerging vulnerabilities for technology stack
- Conduct security assessments and develop mitigation plans
- Implement product security features with development team
- Perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
- Investigate, triage, and respond to security incidents
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer
- 5+ years experience in information security, with hands-on experience in security operations and SOC2
- Experience implementing and maintaining security tools and controls
- Ability to articulate security program to customers
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and technologies
- Experience with cloud security, specifically in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong communication skills
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools
- Understanding of common security frameworks
- Experience with automation and scripting
- Relevant security certifications preferred (Security+, CISSP, SSCP, GIAC/GSEC, or GCP certifications)
