Adobe's Bucharest Express AI Pillar engineering team is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineering Manager to lead their AI foundations development. This is a high-visibility role working with Adobe's worldwide teams, focusing on developing Machine Learning features, infrastructure, and foundation.
The role involves leading a team of up to 10 people, guiding them through research, technical design, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of applications. You'll be responsible for influencing design decisions and technical direction while working with engineers, researchers, product managers, and senior leaders across the organization.
As a Machine Learning Manager, you'll be instrumental in:
- Building and managing high-performing ML engineering teams
- Developing ML features and infrastructure
- Managing model hosting and delivery infrastructure
- Overseeing ethical dataset creation
- Fostering a culture of engineering excellence and innovation
The ideal candidate brings:
- 7+ years of ML field experience with proven results
- 5+ years of engineering management experience
- Strong technical background with BS/MS in Computer Science
- Proven track record in building diverse, high-performing teams
- Excellence in technical communication and customer engagement

Requirements For Machine Learning Manager
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience as an engineering manager
- 7+ years of experience in the ML field
- Experience in building and leading teams with multiple ML engineers and researchers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of modern software development
- Outstanding ability to communicate technical concepts
