Description For Member of Technical Staff II

Adobe's Print & Scan group is seeking a Member of Technical Staff II to join their dynamic team that drives $100M in revenue. This role offers a unique blend of startup-like environment within an established enterprise, providing 100% ownership across engineering, marketing, and management functions. The position focuses on developing world-class embedded host technologies for printing, serving leading MFP and Printer manufacturers globally.

The role involves working with deep domain knowledge in PDF and PostScript, spanning multiple print segments from Graphic Arts to Office Printing. You'll be part of a team that develops technologies used in both professional printing environments ("Print for Earning") and office/home settings ("Print because they Earn"). The work encompasses multiple platforms and operating systems, including patented scan technology that generates high-quality, intelligent PDFs.

As a Member of Technical Staff II, you'll contribute to both maintaining existing offerings and innovating new solutions, following the team's mantra of "Experiment Often, Experiment Quickly, and Fail Cheap." The position offers significant growth opportunities and the chance to influence product direction in a $100M revenue business unit.

The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of experience in C/C++ development, strong computer science fundamentals, and the ability to work across multiple platforms. Responsibilities For Member of Technical Staff II

  • Contribute extensively in analysis, design, and programming for major and dot software releases
  • Collaborate with product marketing to evaluate and resolve new features
  • Develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
  • Provide leadership within division and mentor engineers
  • Be a specialist on one or more platforms and knowledgeable of cross-platform issues
  • Address broad architecture and design issues of future products
  • Provide strategic direction in evaluating new technologies

Requirements For Member of Technical Staff II

Linux
  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from an outstanding institute
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on design/development experience
  • Proficient in C/C++ assembly, data structure, and algorithm
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design and knowledge of product life cycles
  • Knowledge of application development on multiple platforms including Windows and Macintosh
  • Excellent computer science fundamentals and understanding of architecture, design, and performance
  • Must be familiar with working in a fast-paced global environment
