Adobe is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager to lead their Ethos Platform NET SRE team, which provides industry-leading API hosting capabilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to orchestrate a team of engineers managing sophisticated infrastructure, including API Gateway and Kubernetes-powered systems. The position involves leading complex projects focused on containerization, clusterization, performance, and CI/CD automation.
The role requires a strong technical background combined with leadership skills to manage a geographically distributed team across locations including San Francisco, San Jose, Lehi, Bucharest, and Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing incident response, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities For Platform Engineering Manager
- Lead projects to build, challenge, and secure automated, multi-cloud, multi-tenant environments
- Drive continual improvements in system for internal users to self-debug and fix REST-based APIs
- Ensure highest level of uptime and Quality of Service through operational excellence
- Coordinate incident and problem management
- Plan and report team's work on a per-sprint basis
- Coordinate workload of 9-engineer team with three other teams
Requirements For Platform Engineering Manager
- B.Sc. or higher in related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or configuration management
- 2+ years managing or leading a team
- Strong understanding of scrum terminology and processes
- Experience with cloud service providers: Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS
- Familiarity with scripting, CICD systems, Linux, networking, containerization, REST-based APIs, Kubernetes and API Gateways
- Ability to coordinate and approve technical requirements documents, code reviews, and deployments
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Schedule allowing regular meetings between 7AM-10AM Pacific time
