Description For Site Reliability Engineer (4-6 years)

Adobe is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with 4-6 years of experience to join their team of adaptable developers. The role involves ensuring the highest level of uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) for Adobe's customers through operational excellence. Key responsibilities include collaborating with product teams, improving service resiliency, supporting multi-cloud environments, automating tasks, maintaining monitoring systems, and participating in on-call rotations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with distributed applications at scale in public cloud (AWS), expertise with containerization and orchestration engines, and proficiency in DevOps tools and practices. This is an opportunity to implement innovative solutions and shape the future of Creative Cloud, with about 50% of the time dedicated to programming and development work on self-identified problems.

Required skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of production-level experience with distributed applications at scale in public cloud (AWS)
  • Expertise with Docker and containerization orchestration engines (i.e., Kubernetes)
  • Strong experience in building and managing infrastructure on AWS cloud services
  • Proficiency with Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Helm Charts
  • Expertise in DevOps tools, GitOps process, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, and Splunk
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Terraform
  • Programming skills in JavaScript (NodeJS), Python, Java, or Go
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt quickly to new technologies

Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer (4-6 years)

  • Ensure the highest level of uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) for Adobe's customers
  • Collaborate with product teams to champion partnership and inclusive environment
  • Identify areas to improve service resiliency through chaos engineering and performance testing
  • Support and maintain globally distributed, multi-cloud environments
  • Automate common, repeatable tasks at a large scale
  • Craft and maintain world-class production monitoring systems
  • Identify and solve performance and stability issues
  • Evaluate and manage application and environment security
  • Use and maintain version control for application infrastructure
  • Participate in an on-call rotation
  • Determine root-cause for production level incidents and write high-quality RCA reports
  • Promote the DevOps/SRE attitude
