About the Team: Our team is CoreTech which develops and delivers critical foundational blocks for core and consistent functionality across Adobe offerings. CoreTech portfolio contains solutions for Desktop, mobile apps, web, Enterprise apps and Services. CoreTech's domain expertise include Accelerated Computing, Metadata, Image processing & transcoding, Color Management, Graphics, Print. Multiple Adobe products like Creative Cloud, Desktop Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), all use CoreTech solutions extensively. CoreTech also powers multiple creative workflows in Creative Cloud.
This is an individual contributor position. The person will be responsible for development of new features and maintenance of existing features in Core Technologies mainly in imaging and metadata team, and will be responsible for all phases of development, from early specs and definition to release. The person is expected to be hands-on problem solver and well conversant in analysing, architecting and implementing high quality software solutions.
Responsibilities: • The engineer would contribute extensively to analysis, design, and programming for major and dot software releases. • The engineer would get an opportunity to learn and contribute to imaging and metadata domain. • The role would require close collaboration with internal teams to evaluate and resolve new features to be added. • You would be a specialist on one or more platforms and knowledgeable of cross-platform issues, products, and customer requirements. • You would contribute significantly towards the development and application of sophisticated concepts, technologies, and expertise within the team. • Review and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs, and creative problem solving.
Required skills: • 2-4 yrs year of hands on design / development experience. • B. Tech / M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from a best-in-class institute. • Proficient in C/C++, data structures and algorithms. • Good understanding of object-oriented design. • Should have excellent computer science fundamentals • Platforms: Windows, Macintosh, iOS, Android, Linux • Tools: Visual Studio, XCode, GCC, CMake, Android Studio, git • Must have excellent communication skills.
Bonus skills: • Knowledge of imaging domain. • Knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline • Knowledge of Web Assembly. • Knowledge of AI/ML.
