Responsibilities For Software Quality Engineer
- Drive, define and evolve automation tools and strategies for testing components
- Work with product owners to identify and generate test data
- Execute test scenarios in a timely manner
- Develop and implement test strategies to ensure product quality
- Design/test from customer viewpoint to ensure good product experience
- Work closely with development team to design and deliver key product features
- Create and maintain acceptance test cases and regression test suites
- Triage defects and prepare consolidated defect reports
- Provide technical expertise and mentor junior team members
Requirements For Software Quality Engineer
- Bachelors/Masters or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- 2-4 years experience in software testing and quality engineering
- Expertise in automation frameworks like JUnit, NUnit, Selenium
- Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Perl etc)
- Experience with REST based web services
- Knowledge of programming languages C/C++/Java
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of agile processes and methodologies
- Experience in desktop and web application testing
- Excellent communication skills
