Adobe Lightroom, a cloud-based service for photography enthusiasts, is seeking a Senior Lead Software Quality Engineer for their Android team. This role is part of the Adobe Digital Imaging (DI) team, focused on building a scalable and responsive mobile application that puts powerful image editing and organizing tools in photographers' hands.

As a Software Quality Engineer, you'll join a passionate team working on features strategic to Adobe's growth. You'll be responsible for comprehensive testing of new features, automation framework development, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. The role combines technical expertise in mobile testing with collaborative teamwork in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of software testing experience, strong Android testing knowledge, and expertise with various testing frameworks. You'll work closely with product managers and engineers to define roadmaps, own feature testing end-to-end, and engage directly with customers to solve problems.

Responsibilities For Software Quality Engineer 4

  • Work with Product Manager and engineers in defining roadmap, scope and work for releases
  • Work as part of a fast-paced scrum team
  • Follow standard methodologies for testing, profiling and releasing high quality software
  • Own features end-to-end from requirements to release
  • Add new automation tests to improve coverage
  • Create Test Plans and manage test execution and regression testing
  • Collaborate across roles in a global setup
  • Ensure high levels of performance and reliability
  • Engage with customers to identify problems and provide solutions

Requirements For Software Quality Engineer 4

Java
Kotlin
  • BTech or MTech in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on software testing experience
  • Experience in Mobile Application Testing
  • Exposure to end-to-end test management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of writing test plans for end-to-end workflows
  • Understanding of test methodologies
  • Experience with bug reporting in JIRA
  • Good scripting skill in any programming languages for automation
  • Experience with Android Test frameworks like Appium, Espresso, Robotium and UI Automator
  • Hands on experience with Android Studio, git, Jenkins, jUnit and gradle
