SRE DevOps Engineer

Adobe's Identity Resilience team is seeking an SRE DevOps Engineer to help build and evolve the next generation of Identity Services for Adobe's cloud platform. This role requires a highly motivated engineer who can bring ideas from concept to prototype to product. The team is dedicated to solving challenges that enable Adobe's future growth and success.

As an SRE DevOps Engineer with a software engineering background, you'll work on distributed services, high scalability, elastic infrastructure, zero downtime, and services capable of handling million RPMs. You'll be part of an enthusiastic team focused on operational readiness, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work across all layers of an n-tier application stack, from infrastructure provisioning and maintenance via code (IaC) to designing and implementing performance and availability optimizations
• Develop tools, operational enhancements, and automated solutions for self-service configuration changes, speedy deployments, and improved monitoring
• Implement architectural improvements, add new features, write tests, and fix bugs with high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve resiliency at any layer of the technology stack
• Collaborate effectively within a highly communicative team
• Drive and improve the whole lifecycle of operational readiness
• Build quality into the system from design through deployment
• Participate in an on-call rotation

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and related DevOps technologies: Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, Groovy, Docker, K8s, AWS SDK
• Experience developing applications in Java or Kotlin
• Experience designing and implementing online services
• Excellent knowledge of System Scalability, Availability & Performance
• Full stack troubleshooting experience, including networking, operating systems (Linux), and DNS
• Experience with AWS stack, particularly in networking, VMs, load balancing, CDN, and DNS
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Experience with Elastic Stack (ELK): Elasticsearch, Kibana & Logstash
• Strong documentation and collaboration skills
• Ability to scope project work, estimate effort, and break down tasks
• Strong comprehension of continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
