Aeva is seeking a Senior Thermal Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role focuses on thermal analysis and optimization of product performance. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of experience in thermal analysis and modeling of complex systems. You'll be responsible for developing thermal models, providing design feedback, and creating thermal solutions using both convective and conductive approaches. The role requires expertise in CFD modeling using Ansys Icepak, understanding of thermal management solutions, and strong problem-solving skills. With a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field, you'll work on challenging thermal engineering problems and contribute to product optimization. Responsibilities For Senior Thermal Engineer
- Developing and running thermal models of forced air cooled systems
- Providing design feedback via plots and screenshots of thermal behavior and air flow, with recommendations for performance improvement
- Designing convective thermal solutions including fans, heatsinks, and vapor chambers
- Designing conductive thermal solutions including TIMs and TECs
Requirements For Senior Thermal Engineer
- 7+ years of experience with thermal analysis and modeling of complex systems including silicon packages, PCBs, and fans
- Proficiency modeling CFD in Ansys Icepak including transient and steady state analysis
- Understanding of CFD model optimization for reducing run time
- Experience debugging complex models with multiple boundary conditions
- Experience designing, speccing, and implementing passive and active thermal management solutions
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
