Description For Security - Specialty Solutions Engineer

AHEAD is seeking a Security Specialty Solutions Engineer (SSE) to join their team. This role focuses on security technologies and solutions, with the SSE considered a subject matter expert in this area. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and architecting complex security solutions
  • Working with sales representatives to identify potential security technologies and vendors
  • Assisting with diagrams, bill of materials, and proposal content for security sales campaigns
  • Defining security strategies and comparing alternative approaches
  • Building key relationships with clients and partners
  • Sizing and configuring security products
  • Participating in the AHEAD Security team and related virtual teams
  • Supporting sales teams during engagements
  • Presenting and marketing proposed AHEAD security solutions to customers and prospects
  • Mentoring entry-level team members

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of technical experience with security controls (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NTA, NDR, NGAV, EDR, SIEM)
  • Experience with SASE vendors (a significant differentiator)
  • Familiarity with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or Palo Alto Cortex Professional
