The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of management and technical leadership experience, with a strong background in Data Infrastructure, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $204,000 - $259,000 USD, with potential for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. The role is US Remote Eligible, with occasional work at Airbnb offices or offsites as agreed with the manager.

- Extensive experience in Data Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and Software Engineering
- Proficiency in data storage and distributed processing technologies (e.g., Hive, Spark, Trino, Flink)
- Strong familiarity with software engineering principles and best practices
- Experience in data modeling, database design, and various SQL dialects
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Extensive background in workflow orchestration solutions (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
