Manager, Engineering - Client Data & Networking Platform

Airbnb is seeking a Manager for their Engineering Client Data & Networking Platform team. This role is crucial in developing client networking libraries, frameworks, and tools that enable Airbnb's engineers to build fast and reliable data-dependent features. The team owns Airbnb's in-house front end API client supporting REST and GraphQL, used across the organization.

As a manager, you'll lead a team responsible for shaping the engineering culture and best practices at Airbnb. You'll work closely with tech leads to develop strategy and deliver transformative projects that impact 800+ engineers. The role requires strong leadership skills to mentor senior ICs and create opportunities for technical growth.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $204,000 - $260,000 USD and is US Remote eligible. You'll be joining a company that has grown from a small San Francisco startup to a global platform with over 5 million hosts and 2 billion guest arrivals.

The ideal candidate should have 9+ years of engineering experience, including 3-5+ years in management, with a strong background in client platforms and infrastructure. You'll need to demonstrate product management capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead and mentor Staff+ level engineers.
