Manager, Engineering - Web Platform

Airbnb is seeking a Manager for their Web Platform team to lead and empower engineers working within their TypeScript monorepo. The Web Platform team's mission is to provide foundational libraries, frameworks, and tools for development, testing, and release, enabling high-velocity and quality feature delivery.

As the manager, you'll partner with tech leads to shape team strategy and deliver projects that enhance the productivity of 400+ web engineers. The role encompasses overseeing testing frameworks, developer environments, bundler implementations, CI jobs, client libraries for observability, editor integrations, and an internal web service framework.

The team serves as a crucial bridge between product engineers and platform-agnostic infrastructure teams while maintaining codebase health. You'll be responsible for managing a distributed team, prioritizing projects, fostering stakeholder relationships, and mentoring Staff+ engineers. The position requires strong technical background in web technologies and proven leadership experience.

Airbnb offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $204,000 to $260,000 USD, along with potential bonus and equity benefits. The role is US Remote-eligible with occasional office visits or offsite attendance.
