Senior Android Engineer, Accessibility

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Android Engineer specializing in Accessibility to join their Digital Accessibility team. This role is part of the larger UI Foundation team that contributes to Airbnb's design system and UI tooling. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience developing consumer Android applications at scale, expertise in Kotlin or Java and Jetpack Compose, and a passion for digital accessibility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Improving accessible product development on Android
• Establishing coding standards for accessible UIs
• Collaborating with accessibility experts to implement WCAG guidelines
• Upleveling Android engineers' accessibility expertise
• Participating in weekly office hours to support product designers and engineers
