Senior Security Engineer, Enterprise Security

Airbnb's Enterprise Security team is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer passionate about building, defending, and enabling seamless user experiences. The role focuses on proactive security, partnering with IT and Infrastructure teams to secure Airbnb's corporate systems, network, applications, and data. The team's philosophy is to enable new business functions by reducing friction associated with security controls.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deploying cloud security solutions in multi-cloud and on-premise infrastructures
• Building secure access controls using modern tools and techniques
• Utilizing infrastructure management tooling for consistent hardening configs
• Implementing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
• Deploying vulnerability management tools across various infrastructures
• Enabling Chrome OS deployment at scale for customer support agents
• Orchestrating security posture checks on new infrastructure deployments
• Implementing endpoint state attestation tooling
• Scaling proactive security controls to new environments

The ideal candidate should have:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of the threat landscape, common attacks, and mitigation methods
• Ability to develop tools using interpreted programming languages
• Familiarity with DevOps toolchain
• Experience with operating systems internals, networking protocols, cloud infrastructure, authentication systems, and vulnerability management

The base pay range for this role is $185,000 - $223,000 USD, with potential eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
