Join Airbnb's Trust team as a Senior Software Engineer to enhance transparency and trust within our global community. You'll work on cutting-edge identity verification solutions, addressing challenges in AI and digital technologies. Key focus areas include:
- Identity Verification Expansion: Develop next-generation methods to adapt to new challenges and enhance security.
- Business Verification: Create systems to verify businesses as first-class citizens on the platform.
- Identity Misuse: Improve existing systems by incorporating new user signals and collaborating with the operations team to minimize fraud.
- Vendor Optimization: Lead initiatives to streamline vendor integrations, reduce costs, and implement ML, Computer Vision, and AI technologies.
You'll work with large-scale systems and datasets, collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and operations teams. Your role involves prototyping, developing, and testing solutions to combat emerging fraud trends.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer, Trust
- Work on systems at scale with large data sets
- Build and continuously improve applications for Airbnb product, business and operational use cases
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners
- Identify opportunities for business impact
- Understand, refine, and prioritize requirements for engineering systems
- Drive engineering decisions, and quantify impact
- Prototype, develop, productionize, and test solutions and defenses to existing and emerging fraud trends
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer, Trust
- 6+ years industry experience
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
- Experience in building and scaling high-quality and high-traffic products (or systems)
- Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions
- Ability to drive alignment, manage projects and effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Mentorship to junior developers
- Experience in fraud prevention or identity systems
